Welcome to the Home of Chicago’s Finest Homemade Irish Sausage
A Legacy of Historic Recipes and Authentic Flavor
In 1967, Michael Winston Sr. opened Winston’s Sausage. He worked as a meat cutter in the stockyards and saw a need for a place where the Irish could shop and get the foods they enjoyed from home. Over the years, he refined his recipes for sausage, black and white puddings, soda bread, and many other authentic Gaelic favorites. These are the same recipes used today.
Winston’s Sausage, located on 63rd street in Chicago, still serves the Irish and American communities today. It has become a USDA processing plant that makes our own homemade Irish sausage, corned beef, and puddings and ships to many states across the country. The store has branched out to serve the south suburbs with Winston’s Market and the Ashford House in Tinley Park.
